Aqua Sphere Tiffany Nero Buttercup swim suit
Of all the swimsuits we’ve tested recently, this is the most unconventional looking. With its partially zip-fronted chest, it looks more like a cross between a tri-suit and a recreational swimming costume than a suit designed for training in the pool.
It’s well-lined through the front so it should feel comfortable but, rather disappointingly, there’s nothing to protect your skin from the underside of the zip so it rubs as you swim and can cause a lot of discomfort. Also, the seams aren’t as smooth as they could be in places, so chafing can cause problems if you’re not lubed up.
On the positive, its straps are sturdy and supportive, and the material is quick-drying, chlorine resistant and offers UV protection. There isn’t a huge amount of stretch to the material – certainly not as much as others on test – so it would be worth trying this suit on for size before buying.
